Hi there! My name is Kai. I am a passionate PhD candidate in applied mathematics at the University of Adelaide.

In my PhD project, I explore the world of mathematical biology. More specifically, I aim to understand better the growth patterns and behaviour of yeast colonies commonly used for making bread and alcoholic beverages. I find this interdisciplinary collaboration extremely rewarding because it empowers me to make contributions to benefit winemakers, bioengineers, and material scientists etc.

Outside of work, I enjoy runnning, basketball and speed cubing. Finally, I am an avid MATLAB user and lover.
